Pier’s Morgan is talking out of his ass … its one thing to admit admit
you don’t know but then Piers grills Penn about his not providing the
answers. Anything Piers says is his belief and is no way supported by
facts.

Oh Piers… what a tool you are.

The arrogance of Morgan and other religious people like him is astounding.
His condescension of atheists for not having an answer to something no one
could possibly know is pure nonesense. To actually look down on someone for
that is pathetic, and shows that the position of religion is a weak one
when it comes to questions about the cosmos and morality.

Louis Malatesta

petulant little prick is all he is

ThaiBox7788

Its all about the burden of proof, that is the one who is making the claim
has the responsibility to prove that with reliable and sufficient evidence.
People who believe in God/Gods have the burden of proof. All atheism is
is a rejection of the theistic claims of the existence of Gods and
Goddesses and their involvement in the creation of the Universe because
that burden of proof has not been met, at least from their point of view.
Its the default position.

fuck piers morgan

wimsweden

“He can see the entire timeline all at once.” Which is an added absurdity
inherent in the concept. If this being is timeless, it cannot only not
create (see previous comments), but the distinction between “creator” and
“creation” would be meaningless, since there was never a moment when the
universe did not exist from the perspective of such an alleged being. “Time
is linear in this universe but perhaps not ‘there’.” It’s either timeless
or it isn’t. Make up your mind. “Q” is also imaginary. 😉

The problem with this statement is that evolutionists did question it;
that’s where the theory came from. That’s where every theory ever comes
from, scientists question something, then put it to the test.

Julius Caesar adopted son Octavian given Julius’s title aka Augustus
Caesar.Augustus had a divine background (political lie).born of a virgin
birth thru Apollo (night visit to his mother by a serpent).During the
funeral games to honor Julius a comet appeared in sky(chinese recorded),and
Augustus proclaimed Julius resurrected.Julius Caesar was deified, and made
into a God with a temple. “Cult of J.C.” wich lasted 200 yrs inwich
Constantine reworked.”Divus iulius Christos”

We Atheists are not miserable because we don’t believe in a god, we are
miserable because we live in a shit world ran by shit people.

Peter Stanton

It’s not a contradiction if the creator transcends time and space. Some
dumb little book written by ignorant people suggested such. Tell me, if you
set up a fish tank are your constrained by its rules or boundaries?

Peter Stanton

LOL Most atheists don’t know very much about science but they do tend to
worship it. Science does not have any plausible explanation for the big
bang or the formation of the first cell so I would not predicate your
belief on an old Earth and spontaneous evolution of the first cell. Even a
very simple cell is extremely complex making a car look simple by
comparison Maybe we will have explanations someday but that still doesn’t
disprove a god

Peter Stanton

Everyone of your responses have been that of a moron. It’s a cycle? That is
an outdated idea called the “oscillating universe” theory and has been
rejected by almost all astrophysicists. The current theory is called the
“Big Bang”. Come back when you educate yourself beyond vid games, your bong
and masturbation. Free thinker? LOL You are not qualified to participate in
this discussion. Post all you want but I won’t be responding.

SmokeDreamLive

Dammmm Penn made a lot of sense he right

Peter Stanton

Well that makes perfect sense….. I didn’t say my “faith argument” proved
anything except that atheists like Penn and Dawkins are NOT “free thinkers”
but essentially aggressive fundamentalists desperately trying to convince
everyone of their faith based system by attacking other systems. Face it,
You are grasping at straws just like the rest of mankind and are not more
enlightened, open minded or free thinking.

wimsweden

“Penn says :’he does not know’. Yet he ‘believes’ there is no God.
Therefore he admits he has based his belief system on faith, not facts.”
Replace “God” with any other extraordinary claim, e.g. alien abductions,
and you might see your “faith” argument doesn’t hold much water.

icemaneu

Piers Morgan is a fucking retard!

Jaakko Soininen

Well, If I may suggest something, tough quite popularized philosopher, I
found Immanuel Kants view on science in his book “prolegomena” quite
interesting. All tough it doesn’t relate to the subject so closely, but his
views indeed deserve some thought. Another good book was from Nietzsche,
“the Twilight of the Idols”. In which he critzices christianity among other
things. He’s a man of great arguments.

blmacdo

Piers didn’t endorse any religion. He said he believed in God.

Roland Hawken

I always thought Piers was thick now I know he is. Of course anyone can
write a book denying the existence of a god, freedom of speech and opinion,
unless of course you live in Britain where everyone is so sensitive or too
frightened to speak out . Because you might upset a fanatic god freek

MrCornishtommy

No one likes a smart arse……. You know exactly what I was driving at,or
are you just trolling?

wimsweden

So you posit a “timeless creator”, i.e. a contradiction in terms?

mrdewolf2

If anyone is interested the Tao te Ching is an interesting book. It starts
out….The Tao can be talked about, but not the Eternal Tao….As the
“creator” of all things, it is nameless…” Many translations, so I suggest
reading a few versions at the book store. Atheism is a belief that there is
not a god. Most religions believe there is a god. Both are beliefs, neither
know, if they did then there wouldn’t be a need to believe.

wimsweden

“NONE of you will know the answer until you are dead!” Actually, no one
will know, because you’ll be dead. Death is not an experience where you can
know things, it’s the absence of experience.

Jaakko Soininen

And why would it require such? Some things that happen have such minimal
odds, that it wouldn’t be fair to not treat them as miracles. Then again,
everything about nature is belittled by the fact that something just “made
it up”. It wont be as much of a miracle then. Maybe not at all. The
elements are what they are and act in a certain way. Nature has order,
that’s one part of its being, not that it would need to be given one.
Nature has molecules, but nothing is “just random”.

blmacdo

If someone’s not afraid of death and if there’s no immortal soul why not
commit suicide when the going gets tough?

germboy007

the last part of the video is correct

wimsweden

“It’s not a contradiction if the creator transcends time and space.” That
doesn’t solve the problem. It just restates it. Someone who creates
inherently goes from not having created it to creating it, i.e. goes
through a temporal sequence. As such, juxtaposing the terms “timeless
creator” makes just as much sense as a “married bachelor” or a “square
circle”.

mrdewolf2

I think the problem most religious followers have is one of fear. They
cling tightly to the stories they have been told as a bulwark against the
unknown. They don’t want to hear about anything contrary because it would
disrupt the laws and rules of the world they have constructed. Anything
different requires self evaluation and a recalculation on how the world
might be. Easier to hate the “other” and surround yourself with like
believers. Cheers!
