These creationist-goobers cripple scientists with mind-blowing logic and facts. It’s scary… :P

22 Messages From Creationists To People Who Believe In Evolution

I asked 22 self-identifying creationists at the Bill Nye/Ken Ham debate to write a message/question/note to the other side. Here’s what they wrote.posted on

Because there’s proof to back up the theory.

I have my doubts with evolution. Saying, just because something may resemble something doesn’t mean it was once something. I mean look at the moth and buterfly. Plus, I don’t believe there has been any witness to evolution in nature or under controlled observation, unless you want to count viruses becoming immune to vaccinations that double your risk of becoming infected. I will enjoy the day human advancement is no longer hindered by religous belief, and we can move on to an age of peace, and the end of wage based slavery.

Will someone please explain to these idiots what a “scientific theory” is

PSYCHO.

All you have to do is look at the half-assed things we are always improving from our ancestors. That makes it obvious that our ancestors were retarded and evolution is a fact.

Andrew, evolution does not consist of just saying something may resemble something else. Please do a little serious reading on the subject and you will see the mountains of irrefutable evidence supporting the theory.

Hey Andrew, science doesn’t give a shit if you have “doubts”. Science has been trying to DISPROVE evolution for the last 150 years. Your arrogant and dismissive attitude about how science works only shows one thing. You don’t know shit about science. Don’t try to gloss your ignorance of science over by appearing well-intentioned. It’s exactly people like you that cause the problem that exists in the US today. The problem that close to 50% of the population are self-professed, IDIOTS.

Andrew, read Richard Dawkins’s book The greatest show on Earth the evidence for evolution. He gives numerous examples of evolution that can be witnessed in short periods of time. Such as breeding fish in certain pools with various predators and seeing them change their colors and designs over the generations to adapt/evolve to their surroundings. There is proof and evidence everywhere, you just have to open your eyes!!!

Thats controlled observation that you think has never been done before. That + thousands of other examples.

Whether evolution is a fact is a red herring. Creationists habitually misrepresent scientific terminology and the relationship among the terms. For example, Creationists misrepresent the terms “law” and “theory.” The distinction between law and theory is function, not degree of certainty. Laws describe; theories explain. A scientific law is a generalized description of observations (facts). A scientific theory is a well-supported, physical explanation of HOW physical phenomena occur. The Germ Theory of Disease was, is, & will ALWAYS be a theory, because it explains the cause of some diseases. But it is a fact that some germs cause some diseases.… Read more »

KL Green: you should publish that explanation in its own right.

I used to have a blog, but I took it down. Maybe I’ll start another some time.

Andrew: ignore the sneering.
Standard mistake of the divisive and ignorant. They exist on both “sides”.
Suggest that you do look at some of the links mentioned above.
Most of the articles referred to are not antagonistic.

Thanks for that great explanation KL. Hate to use a religious-themed cliche, but you’re “preaching to the choir”, at least in the case of most of us. 😛 It still amazes me as to how many people don’t grasp even the most basic fundamentals of science. The important that I want to raise in your otherwise fine explanation, is that theories are not raised to be proven. In fact, science does the opposite. When a scientist publishes a theory based on observation, calculations and hypothesis, he/she is challenging the scientific community to DISPROVE that theory. That’s the purpose of peer… Read more »

Doubts, debates, and ideas are main processes of science, and understanding that walking is falling is a basic understanding of science. Math and science are my strongest points. It is what I do for a living. Science also has not been trying to disprove evolution, they have spent all this time trying to prove it.

Now why does that sound like “Doubts, debates, and ideas?” Of course with that type of explanation, the fact that you can disprove Jesus holds no ground for disproving a God. Seeing there is no grass roots evidence to be found in this world of any such God, you have a long pointless battle to wage. You are realy becoming more like the door knocking christians; only in the lazy sense seeing as you sit on your ass and cram your nonbelief down others’ throats.

“Doubts, debates, and ideas are main processes of science, and understanding that walking is falling is a basic understanding of science. Math and science are my strongest points.” I certainly hope that your math is way better than your science if that’s the case. 😛 ” It is what I do for a living.” It’s what you do for a living, and you don’t have to be explained by a college dropout how science works? Dude, that’s pretty embarrassing. “Science also has not been trying to disprove evolution, they have spent all this time trying to prove it.” Andrew, again,… Read more »

Implying that adpating to an envriment is evolution does nothing for proving a theory. That is like saying just because a group of people scared to death on an offshore facility being held hostage by a guy with an AK47 are evolved because they have become submissive.

Hey Andrew, remember what I said about you being a phony hack? Scratch that. You’re a delusional, idiotic, phony hack. But please continue with your utterly ridiculous blatherings. I’ll let you know when we’re done. In the meantime, continue to make yourself look like a complete moron.

too stupid to pick up a dictionary

Hey Otto, I beg your pardon? Sneering? Are you kidding me? This bozo Andrew comes on the thread muttering complete nonsense. To the extent where he clearly shows that he doesn’t even understand how science works. If calling him on that is being “divisive and ignorant”, then may I suggest you look up the definitions of those words?

And please don’t use false equivalencies here. One “side” has truth, science, facts, and data on it. The other “side” has utterly RIDICULOUS mythological batshit on it. Huge difference, and you know it.

Yes, I want to count that.

Holes, excuse me, but I want to rationally engage people before finally resorting to abusing their ignorance.

And like nearly everyone I’ve met, I’m not a creationist.
Most of the creationists we have in Australia decided to ship themselves to the USA.

The comments Andrew made in response to the caustic comments you made were all after my initial comment.

I’ve seen these 22 questions being dealt with in a much more positive and hence effective manner elsewhere. Now is the best time to address this ignorance, and it’s not going to happen if done in an abusive manner.
Note that I’ve already said KL Green’s response was outstanding.

Catering to ignorance, and treating it with any degree of courtesy, doesn’t cut it anymore. Our future depends on people pulling their heads out of their asses, and fast. It’s really as simple as that. It’s the 21st century dude. If people are still believing bronze age bullshit and think that the world is only 6-10,000 years old in this day and age, particularly if they are not living in some remote jungle somewhere, don’t deserve “positivity”. To me, it’s downright embarrassing that so many goobers still are not willing to grasp the truth, vs. what’s fairy tale fantasy. There’s… Read more »

“Now why does that sound like “Doubts, debates, and ideas?” ” Because you’re an idiot maybe? 😛 “Of course with that type of explanation, the fact that you can disprove Jesus holds no ground for disproving a God.” Seems to me that not only do you not grasp how the scientific method, hack boy, it appears that you don’t grasp the concept of burden of proof. Don’t worry, I’m not surprised. “Seeing there is no grass roots evidence to be found in this world of any such God, you have a long pointless battle to wage.” I don’t have a… Read more »

“Holes, excuse me, but I want to rationally engage people before finally resorting to abusing their ignorance.” Well, Otto, good luck with that. 😀 “And like nearly everyone I’ve met, I’m not a creationist. Most of the creationists we have in Australia decided to ship themselves to the USA.” Don’t be so sure. I was just in Australia two months ago. Plenty of goobers there too. Granted, the US has way more goobers. We can blame that on crappy schools, and too much kowtowing to churches. Particularly in the south, where I grew up. You know, the part of the… Read more »

Yeah, I’m the caustic one. For calling an idiot what he is. 😛

Believe it or not (well, you won’t), people can be convinced to change their minds without abuse. Not everything from the USA is pure bullshit, despite what most of the world says. I did a Dale Carnegie course and it changed my life. He didn’t get much education apart from the School of Life. Basically, he said you can achieve more in changing peoples’ minds by being polite and courteous than by being blunt and rude. But you’re still too young and ignorant to understand that. I say that in a frank and kind manner. All the best to you.… Read more »
