Min wage must not make a country uncompetitive. Eg Aus min wage is too high and makes it competitive as is. That’s why there is no real manufacturing. Everyone cannot have houses and double garages. Theoretically nice but not sustainable.

Hey Gunes, sorry buddy, you have no idea of what you’re talking about. Australia’s economy is a global powerhouse. Are you KIDDING??? The AUD is one of the strongest currencies on the market. Their unemployment rate has only gone over 10% 3 times in the last 40 years, and that was due to normal cycles. Their GDP has been in the positive for AGES! Sorry holes. Cannot disagree more. I live in Aus and have lived in many countries. Can compare this at least. Australia is a resource based economy, take out oil gas and iron and let me know what you’ve got left. There is no real competition. Everything is too expensive. 25 dollar cherries only in this country. Subsidizing, protectionism, no production. Holden is also closing down now. Writing ‘proudly 100% Australian’ on milk is not going to save your economy. Good hitech products for a reasonable price will. You cross the sea, and millions live for 5 dollars a day.
